Gesture recognition of hand movements using mechanomyography

چکیده :
Hand gesture recognition is an essential area of research in human-machine interaction, with applications ranging from rehabilitation engineering to sign language interpretation. Mechanomyography (MMG), which records the mechanical activity of muscles, has emerged as a low-cost and effective method for gesture recognition. This study investigates the use of MMG signals for recognizing eight distinct hand movements, leveraging low-cost accelerometers and machine learning algorithms to achieve robust classification. By employing wireless data acquisition and advanced signal processing techniques, we aim to contribute to the development of accessible, real-time .gesture recognition systems
