Improving the Performance and Robustness of Non-Minimum Phase Systems Using Integrated Feedforward-IMC Technique

چکیده :
A robust control design method is proposed for a non-minimum phase (NMP) quadruple tank process (QTP). To do this, concepts of robust, feedforward, and decoupling control techniques along with internal model control (IMC) are used together to improve the perfect tracking of the system. Then to cope with uncertainties, a centralized robust controller is synthesized. The required performance and uncertainties are expressed in terms of suitable weight functions. Also, a comparison between using H∞ mixed-sensitivity and DK-iteration robust controllers with the proposed approach is drawn in the literature. The proposed design approach is applied to a QTP and its effectiveness is verified through numerical simulations.
