چکیده :
A three-dimensional numerical simulation of a non-contact magnetoelastic torque sensor that was previously described using the Villari effect is described in this paper. The work described in this paper focuses on the numerical simulation of the previously described sensor design rather than designing a new one. The numerical simulation described in this paper uses a multiphysics approach that involves both a mechanic analysis that takes into account a purely torsional load as well as a magnetic analysis that takes into account stress-sensitive permeability; a symmetric permeability tensor that takes into account the principal directions of the stress tensor is established by transforming the coordinate system to align the stress tensor with the principal directions in the Cartesian coordinate system established to describe the problem in the cylindrical coordinate system used to model the problem initially.
