Quad-band rectenna design for GSM, UMTS, Wifi and 5G

چکیده :
A Quad-Band Circular Polarization (CP) rectenna is presented across four prominent frequency bands: GSM 1800, UMTS 2100, WiFi and 5G. For this purpose, we propose a broadband CP receiving antenna at 1.56 to 6.3 GHz, with a maximum gain of 6.6 dB. The rectifier presented in this paper consists of two branches, namely an upper and a lower branch. The upper branch is designed to operate at 4.2 and 4.9 GHz, and the lower branch covers the frequencies of 1.2 and 3.5 GHz. Simulation results of this proposed rectenna with two widely respected commercial software tools, CST and ADS, reveal a remarkable conversion efficiency of 66%, even at a low RF input power density of 7dB.
