Design and Analitycal Model of a Permanent Magnet Vernier Motor for Enhanced Power Factor with Segmented Stator Structure

چکیده :
This paper details the design and assessment of a 48V, 1 kW vernier motor aimed at electric motorcycle applications. The proposed machine utilizes a segmented stator configuration, with its performance initially compared to both an integrated stator design. To enhance the power factor, a twoslot pitch technique is employed. The electromagnetic characteristics of the motor are examined using a permeance function model, and the resulting data is validated through a constructed prototype. The findings indicate that there is an enhancement in both the power factor and torque ripple when compared to the yoke model. Ultimately, the results from the simulation and modeling of the proposed structure are juxtaposed and validated against empirical results.
