Design of a Four-Arm Sinuous Antenna and Its Modified Balun

چکیده :

The proposed ultrawide band sinuous antenna and its feed network were designed, fabricated, and measured. The antenna was made of Fr-4, while the balun was made of Rogers Ro4003. The antenna and balun substrate thickness are 0.508 mm and 1.2 mm, respectively. The balun is miniaturized significantly compared to similar baluns, and the four-arm sinuous antenna with circular polarization is presented. The frequency response, radiated pattern, axial ratio, and feed network results have been shown. This structure operates in the frequency band from 3.1-10.6 GHz, and measurement results confirm simulated results acceptably.
